About Us — Permanent Mission of Somalia to UNOG
The Permanent Mission of Somalia to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva represents the Federal Republic of Somalia in its multilateral engagement with the United Nations system and the broader community of international organizations based in Geneva. The Mission works to advance Somalia’s national priorities, strengthen partnerships with member states and international bodies, and contribute to global discussions on peace, security, human rights, health, trade, and development.
As Somalia’s diplomatic presence in Geneva, the Mission also serves as the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Switzerland and Austria, combining multilateral representation with bilateral diplomacy and consular service to the Somali community. Guided by the principles of unity, dignity, and diplomacy, our team works to ensure that Somalia’s voice is heard across the international institutions headquartered in this city, while supporting Somali nationals living in Switzerland and Austria.
